Katrinka is a qualified Physiotherapist, a member of the Australian PhysiotherapyAssociation (APAM), and representative for APA Animal Physiotherapy Group. Shehas recently completed her Masters’ degree in Veterinary Physiotherapy.

Katrinka entered the veterinary industry in 2006 as a veterinary nurse, with a keeninterest in animal rehabilitation. This passion led to the pursuit of a career in humanphysiotherapy, with the intention of transferring her physiotherapy skills to animalcare. She has worked for over 10 years as a senior physiotherapist in a variety ofroles, in particular acute inpatient care and rehabilitation.

Katrinka made the transition to animal physiotherapy in 2017, spending three yearsworking as an Animal Physiotherapist in Sydney at the Small Animal SpecialistHospital (SASH) before relocating to the Sunshine Coast in 2020.In 2021 Katrinka founded OPTIMA Animal Physio, a Sunshine Coast basedphysiotherapy service specialising in the treatment and rehabilitation of domestic,working and performance animals.

Katrinka has a special interest in postoperative rehabilitation of animals followingorthopaedic and spinal surgery, as well as performance dogs and horses, andbeloved family pets. Katrinka is passionate about animal physiotherapy and itsunique complement to veterinary medicine, and thrives in helping patients return totheir optimal function and performance. Outside of physiotherapy, Katrinka is a keensportswoman. When not working, you are likely to find her exploring the outdoors.
